Introduction

Nurture for today, learning for tomorrow and character for eternity.

30/01/1961

Hills Adventist College aims to provide a balanced education, identifying and developing creativity, citizenship and academic excellence while complementing and extending the training provided by Christian homes and churches.

Because we take a holistic approach to education, we nurture character development and spirituality. In our special values education program we highlight the importance of wise decision making, and focus on positive values.

In 1961 a one-teacher school began in the hall under the Castle Hill Adventist Church. The school continued to grow and in 1978 the next stage of the building was completed. Additional buildings and projects continued to be added to the school and in 2006 and Early Learning Centre buildiing was officially opened. Castle Hill Adventist School has recently been renamed Hills Adventist College and will commence its year 7-12 stages with year 7 starting in 2008.

Hills Adventist College we provide a safe and happy environment for your child to learn within a supportive community. Our teachers work together with parents to bring continuity between school and home, and are committed to keeping you informed and listening to your concerns. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in several programs which offer involvement in the local community and provide students with life-changing experiences. Our school also presents students with many opportunities to develop an understanding for the needs of others through classroom projects for various charities, visits to neighbouring nursing homes and several other programs.

At Hills Adventist College we understand that each student is unique and, wherever appropriate, we tailor the academic program to meet individual needs. Our high staff-to-student ratio allows teachers to develop and understanding of each child’s requirements, strengths and weaknesses. Our teachers are trained to recognise gifted and talented children as well as to detect children with learning difficulties.

While the school functions within the framework of an Adventist worldview, we are open to all students regardless of religious and cultural beliefs, without compulsory church attendance.

You’ll find the school at 84-88 Cecil Avenue, Castle Hill, conveniently close to the town centre. The school is tucked behind the church complex in a quiet and protected setting. Spacious playing areas surround a well-designed set of classrooms and specialist learning spaces such as a computer laboratory, library and new Early Learning Centre that caters for up to 59 children.
